STATEMENT ON EARTHQUAKE THAT OCCURED THIS MORNING OUTSIDE BLOEMFONTEIN, FREE STATE PROVINCE

The Council for Geoscience (CGS) can confirm that an earthquake occurred this morning around 08:54. The earthquake registered a preliminary 3.6 on the local magnitude scale as recorded by the South African Seismograph Network.
