The Council for Geoscience website subscribes to and complies with the voluntary privacy principles contained in the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act(no. 25 of 2002).

1.1. This privacy policy forms part of the terms and conditions of use of this website and is incorporated in such terms and conditions of use.

        

         

1.2. The privacy statement applies to the Council for Geoscience and any legal entity which controls, verifies or makes use of information that may be collected via this site.

Regarding data messages, including e-mail messages, sent by users to the website owner — in order to provide the best possible and most relevant service, this website may use standard technology such as cookies or web beacons to collect information about the use of this site. 3.2. This website utilises session or temporary cookies. A cookie is a small file that is placed on the user’s hard drive in order to keep a record of his/her interaction with this website. Session cookies are deleted once the user closes the browser.

In all cases, the Council for Geoscience will treat requests to access information or change information in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

The Council for Geoscience has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the privacy practices of any third party sites to which hyperlinks may have been provided and we strongly recommend that users first review the privacy policy of any site they visit before using it further.

6.1. Nothing contained herein creates or is intended to create a contract or agreement between the Council for Geoscience and any user visiting the website.
